HERITAGE HOUSE CONVERSION

Amongst one of the most passion-driven projects undertaken by the Forte team has been this heritage home conversion in Vancouver.

An existing house that was originally built in 1917 was to be given a second century of life through a deconstruction and lift process.

The design team at Terra Firma Design meticulously honoured the original build of this house by encompassing as much of the original parts of the home while re-dividing the original house into 2 separate units, flanked by a third rear laneway house.

Our Forte team took action by hand-removing every structural component and reconstructing where necessary while refurbishing the stained glass windows and re-installing back into the home. By far, one of our favourite projects, given the history of the original home.
